I am Colin, a hotel general manager based in Vietnam. For 18 years I have opened hotels, built teams and fixed operations that were not working, including a casino resort in Macau and five-star city hotels.

The Quiet Concierge channel explains what happens behind the front desk: how rates are set, who gets upgraded, where your money goes. This store is the other half of the story: the checklists, timelines and models I wish I had on day one, and an hour of advice when you need someone who has done the job.

Because I am a serving GM, no hotel, owner or colleague is named anywhere. Every story is an anonymised composite.
